Eileen Skinnider

Senior Associate

Eileen Skinnider is a consultant on criminal justice, gender and human rights issues. She is a lawyer, with an LL.B. (U of S, 1987) and LL.M. in Public International Law (LSE, 1996). Eileen has conducted international legal research for the production of guideline documents relating to the elimination of violence against women, the prosecution of crimes against children, and the international criminal court. She has also been involved in ICCLR's Rule of Law technical assistance projects in Thailand, China, Ethiopia and South Sudan. As a consultant for the United Nations on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), she has developed practical tools and training material for criminal justice professionals on violence against women and gender mainstreaming as well conducting assessments of the situation of women in the criminal justice system. Eileen has also worked with Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) as a Humanitarian Affairs Officer (Afghanistsan, Sudan, Uganda and Ethiopia).
