International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law (ISRCL) Conference

In the context of exploitation of children and adults for sexual and labour purposes and expanding opportunities for e-crime, the conference considered law enforcement and domestic legal systems that are continually developing new ways of evidence gathering and presentation, more rapid processes for extradition and appropriate care for the victims of crime and those who are accused and find themselves tried and convicted in foreign juridsdictions.

The theme, agenda items and topics for the workshops of the 13th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice were determined by the UN General Assembly in its resolution 67/184. The current agenda items include: the implementation of crime prevention and criminal justice policies and strategies to promote the rule of law at the national and international levels; international cooperation to combat transnational organized crime; approaches to respond to new and emerging forms of transnational crime; and national approaches to public participation in strenghtening crime prevention and criminal justice.
